Come out and celebrate German culture and tradition at Houston Oktoberfest, scheduled to be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, in the Northwest Mall Parking Lot. Based off of the historic Oktoberfest, which runs for two weeks in Munich, Germany each year, Houston Oktoberfest brings the festivities to the U.S. and showcases a wide range of the country's customs, such as German folk dancing, food, beer and clothing. An event for both children and adults, there's no better way to celebrate the fall season and learn about German heritage.

New Toyota Waku-Doki Ad Goes Viral

Trying to capture the attention of an audience can be a difficult task, which is why today's TV commercials have to not only sell the product, but also hook the viewer, leaving a lasting impression. In Japan, many advertisers turn to outrageous antics in order to ignite a spark with their commercials, and the same goes for automakers who want to show off their latest models. Toyota, a global leader in the automotive industry, is one of the brands that has been infiltrating the Japanese market with their zany ads for years, and just recently, they debuted an all-new commercial that aims to incite a brand-new dance craze: the waku-doki.

Toyota President Akio Toyoda Completes ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Toyota head honcho Akio Toyoda is one of the latest people to take on the "Ice Bucket Challenge" in order to raise awareness for ALS, aka known as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. In a video, which was recently uploaded to Toyota's Global Newsroom YouTube account, Toyoda talks about completing the challenge in honor of a former Toyota coworker who lost his life to the tragic disease, before being doused in ice cold water in support of the cause.
